About Tommy

Tommy Jackson (Final).jpg

There are times in life when it can be easy to surrender to being just another statistic. From very humble beginnings in an abusive environment, Tommy Jackson could have accepted his destiny at a very young age.

Instead, Tommy took control to rewrite his life story. His journey has been one of overcoming the odds to build tremendous success. Drawing from his personal experiences has allowed Tommy to connect with, mentor and empower people of all ages, from student athletes to high level business leaders, across the nation.

 Tommy Jackson’s life purpose is to help others find their true potential. His accomplishments in business, music, coaching and mentoring youth spans three decades.

Looking back to his youth, Tommy saw his way towards a better future through education. To afford his Finance degree, he earned a 2 year scholarship to Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) and began working 2 jobs. Without enough money to even pay the power bill, there was no other way to afford an education. When the scholarship came to an end, Tommy believing there’s always a way, went on to earn the final 2 years of his degree through a women’s scholarship program, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a major Finance and minor in Psychology.

His academic journey would come full circle decades later when in 2017, AUM awarded him Business Alumni of the Year and in 2018 gave him the high distinction of being named one of AUM’s Top 50 Most Influential Alumni in the school’s history.

Tommy’s dedication to and love for wealth management has been a calling from day one. The philosophy of “all things are possible” rings true as he has gone from humble beginnings to living his dream of becoming a top financial advisor. This status has been recognized for over a decade, with Tommy appearing yearly in Barron’s and Forbes’ Magazine awards as one of the top financial advisors in the country, including #1 in the State of Alabama in 2013.

In 1995, Tommy became a youth football coach as a way to give back to his community. After leading his team to 3 consecutive Alabama State Championships, he moved on to High School and coached for 7 years, winning 3 state championships. Tommy’s increasing success developed into a youth mentorship program in 1998 called “The Knights”. He trained and mentored over 100 athletes throughout their high school, college, and professional careers, seeing 2 of his Knights go on to play each other in the 2009 Super Bowl. Another as of 2020 has a career-high WTA doubles ranking of No. 12. Helping these young people grow into successful men and women has brought tremendous pride and joy to Tommy over the decades.

“It is not enough to get out of tough places;

once you get out, you must help others to do the same.”

Tommy ventured into the field of music in 2010, founding a multi-genre record label called First Note Entertainment. His efforts have achieved over 175 consecutive sold out shows, placed artists in the Billboard Top 20, earned features in national publications and received music placements on TV shows. You have recently heard FNE's songs on The Today Show, World of Dance, American Idol, The Voice, Grey’s Anatomy, Council of Dads, I Love Kellie Pickler, Black Ink Crew and more.

In 2018, Tommy fully dedicated his career and time to his mentorship efforts, beginning a movement called “The Power of your W.A.L.K.” He brings a program of self-empowerment into schools, colleges, businesses, and communities across the country.

So far, Tommy’s journey has taken him through many unique chapters, but none as important as this one: His life purpose is to help others find their true potential. He’s now walking back in to help others get out.

“I believe our youth to be the most Powerful Generation ever. They just need some help to find the right path! They still need us and we need them. They are the future!”

Tommy continues to regularly speak to businesses, firms, schools, churches, and organizations about reaching success through self-empowerment while serving as the CEO of Jackson Wealth Management.
